The government has issued a directive in the budget regarding the pension of children / siblings of deceased government servants / pensioners who are mentally or physically disabled. If the total income eligible family pension is less than 30% of the final salary taken by the deceased government servant / pensioner then they will be eligible for family pension for life. At the same time, inflation will be relieved.
It states that under Rule 54 (6) of the Central Civil Service (Pension) Rules, 1972, those children / siblings of deceased government servants or pensioners are mentally or physically disabled and are unable to earn a living due to this. Whole life will be eligible for family pension.
